Photographing pets alway presents challenges for a session but at the same time, a wonderful opportunity to create something unique. As a side note we have a new 4 legged member of the family that arrived on Thursday. Great excitement in the house... I wonder how the walks will go when the weather turns cold....

Some great looks from our little subject.... she had so much fun running the paths and finding the garden chairs. Even with the heat and lack of rain the garden is still quite lush. It also helps to have some wonderful smiles!

I know its been hot but I have to say that I have been having a blast doing out door portraits with the kids. Its particularly fun when the brothers are buddies, big brother is looking out for little brother and little brother want do everything big brother is doing. It keeps me young... This is from a session Elise and I did at Little Red Schoolhouse. We had fun looking for fish and turtles, we even saw a good size crayfish... good boy stuff.

We're having a blast doing session at our private garden. So many fun little places to make some great images..... so many stones to jump off of and paths to run on... Oh! the Energy!!! Two seconds after I took this image, he stood up and sprung off the rocks.

I always love when one of our long time clients comes to visits. I have been photographing Ms J. for a while now and it is an absolute hoot when the kids know me well enouph to give me a hard time..... or at least they try. Now, mind you, I'm now complaining because I know them pretty well too and I give it right back. It really is a treat not only because it makes for a fun session but I'm able to engage with my young subject and create images that are very personal and engaging not only for me but for her and her family. She was a real trooper today, not only did we do a whole bunch of work in color but she agreed to let me photograph her for my new project. Here are a few samples from that work.
